Review by hotel critic
My recent gourmet getaway at Stiegl Scala in Bolzano was a delightful experience. The hotel's charm truly lies in its fusion of historic elements and modern comforts. Dining at the quaint 1920s farmhouse kitchen felt like a step back in time, with the aroma of culinary traditions lingering in the air. The grand dining room, adorned with frescos by Rudolf Stolz, added a touch of sophistication to our meals. One culinary highlight was encountering the llama and alpaca herds at the nearby Kaserhof Restaurant, immersing ourselves in a unique farm-to-table dining experience. As we explored the hotel's park, the centuries-old trees whispered stories of bygone eras, creating a serene backdrop for our gastronomic adventures. The breakfast spread, a delightful fusion of local flavors and international delicacies, was a feast for the senses. Each morning, the cycle of months came alive through the frescos, subtly influencing our culinary choices. Stiegl Scala's culinary innovation and ambiance left a lasting impression, beckoning guests to savor each moment in Bolzano's gastronomic paradise.
